Three Peaks Challange
The three peaks challenge was another spectacular hike. The weather was really on our side, it was a glorious day. We started our tremendous adventure at the back of the big Sugarloaf. We began hiking up and over the shoulder, it didn’t take long for us to conquer our first peak. We then proceeded down towards kilmacanogue. We were able to stop here for a snack in the shop. I personally bought an ice-cream and lots of fruit. We used the fruit for eating contests to keep ourselves entertained on our way up the small sugarloaf, which was our second peak. Summiting the second sugarloaf was by far one of the hardest parts of the walk, but it was all worthwhile when we reached the top. The view was absolutely spectacular. After taking in the breathtaking views we began our descent. The path took us through Kilruddery and into Bray. We walked up a path beside bray golf club which led us up to Bray head. It was a long walk to the top but once again at the top, we were blessed with an absolutely amazing view. We looked right out over the ocean while people were jet skiing below. It was a long walk down Bray head and at this stage, my legs were like jelly. In the end, it was all worthwhile, Colin and I got a bag of chips each and enjoyed a pleasant stroll down the seafront to complete the day.
